The foundation was founded by the 3 director's and the company secretary. Each of whom grew up in Soshanguve and Ga-Rankuwa.
However having been privileged enough to attend schools model C schools which provided extra-mural activities (Sports, art music etc) they were not only protected from the current challenges of township youth but were also given opportunity and exposure to learn about the arts.
Through this Relebogile Mabotja the key founder, is now a professional artist and a board member of the South African Music Rights Organisation (singer, composer, and producer). Therefore in same the manner, sports have impacted youth of communities and created a living for athletes and have also kept youth out of trouble.
The RM Foundation seeks to impact and empower the youth of our communities. This aim in line with the Department of Arts and Cultures aim to grow the arts and culture industry and created more jobs and careers in this field.
The overriding approach to our foundation is that youth do not just need a skill to make a living. But need to be equipped to also know how to live. We will therefore incorporate life skills and mentorship into the programme teaching life skills that will help combat challenges of drug abuse and teenage pregnancy In the town ships.
Relebogile is a dynamic, artist, TV producer and entrepreneur.
She has more than 12 year experience in the creative arts industry and has a great passion for the development of youth and women in this industry.
She will use her industry knowledge and networks to raise funds for the organisation and assist talented youth to get into the work place.
